First Aiders will complete a 2-hour, self-paced class, and then participate in a 4.5 to 5.5-hour, Instructor-led class using videoconferencing technology.
The virtual training is based on new curricula that has been in development for more than a year. It includes expanded content on trauma, addiction and self-care. 


Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Mental Health First Aid USA is a alive training program - like regular First Aid or CPR - designed to give ordinary people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Moral injury refers to an injury to an individual's moral conscience resulting from an act of perceived moral transgression which produces profound emotional shame. The concept of moral injury emphasizes the psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects of trauma.
